This position will be to support a well-established Family Practice physician. This role will be Monday - Friday 8:30AM -5:00PM. No weekend, no nights, no holidays. Joining AMG means being part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment where innovation and quality care thrive.  We’re Looking For:   Licensure or Certifications   • MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.   • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.  Degrees:   • GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.  • MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.   • LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing  What You’ll Do:   Schedule: This role will be Monday - Friday 8:30AM -5:00PM. No weekend, no nights, no holidays. As a  Medical Assistant/LPN , you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.    As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:   • Welcome patients and support their transition into care.   • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.   • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.   • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.   • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.   • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.   • Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.  Pay Structure: For Medical Assistants the pay starts between $22-23/hr. For LPN the pay starts between $24.50-25.50/hr. Pay is determined by experience and qualifications of the position. Leaders may be willing to offer more with prior direct experience in the role. About This Location:  Aurora Family Medicine, located at 6609 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis, WI, provides comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. The clinic's team of family medicine physicians and nurse practitioners delivers preventive care, annual wellness visits, immunizations, chronic disease management, and treatment for acute illnesses, while coordinating specialty care when needed Your feedback matters.  Every teammate’s voice is vital in shaping our culture and improving care. We value your insights and experiences because they help us grow stronger together.  Physical Requirements and Working Conditions   • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.   • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.   • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.   • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.   • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.   • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.   • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease.
