Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

How do you handle a full day of call cadences with a dialer and stay sharp?

What they are checking: Whether they can keep energy and focus through a long day of calls, because high-volume outreach wears down people who lack stamina.

Tell me about a time you set a goal and pushed through rejection to hit it.

What they are checking: Whether they keep going after repeated rejection and still hit goals, which is a daily reality in sales development work.

Why does helping customers in public safety interest you?

What they are checking: Connection to the mission of solving for safer, which the posting highlights.

What would you do

How would you open a call with a county sheriff's office to start a conversation about safety technology?

What they are checking: Opening calls in a way that earns interest from government buyers.

A prospect says their budget is set for the year. How do you respond?

What they are checking: Whether they can handle a common budget objection without giving up, since government buyers often plan purchases a year ahead.

How would you build trust with a seller who is skeptical of the leads you send?

What they are checking: Whether they can earn a skeptical seller's trust through better leads and honest communication, since the SDR exists to support sellers.

About the work

What smart questions would you ask to find out if a public agency has a real need?

What they are checking: Discovery skills that qualify leads before handing them to sellers.

How would you learn enough about Motorola's product suite to have useful conversations?

What they are checking: Whether they can learn a broad product line quickly enough to have useful conversations that help customers rather than just pitching.

How do you decide when a lead is ready to pass to a seller?

What they are checking: Whether they qualify leads carefully before passing them on, because weak handoffs waste sellers' time and damage the working relationship.

Tell me about how you organize your follow-ups so no lead is forgotten.

What they are checking: Whether they keep the CRM accurate and follow-ups on schedule, since forgotten leads are lost revenue that nobody notices.
