About your past

Tell me about a time you used historical sales data to spot a risk to the monthly target before it happened.

What they are checking: Whether they look ahead with data and raise risks in time for the team to act.

How do you lead a cross-functional team when you are an analyst and not their manager?

What they are checking: Whether they can influence through data and clear communication, which the posting expects.

Tell me about a blocker you removed so a team could hit its goal.

What they are checking: Whether they solve problems actively rather than only analyzing them from the side.

What would you do

A partner account is underperforming. Walk me through how you diagnose it and build a recovery plan.

What they are checking: Whether they find the real cause and turn it into a specific plan that sellers can carry out.

Halfway through the month the team is behind. What do you bring to sales leadership?

What they are checking: Whether they offer specific gap-closing options instead of just reporting the shortfall.

How do you present a recommendation to sellers who may not agree with your analysis?

What they are checking: Whether they can earn buy-in by listening to sellers' field knowledge and adjusting where it is right.

About the work

How would you build a financial model to estimate the impact of a sales program before it launches?

What they are checking: Whether they can set clear assumptions and expected results to compare against later.

After launch, how do you track whether a program is hitting its targets?

What they are checking: Whether they measure results honestly and recommend changes when a program falls short.

What Excel or BI skills do you use most, and how advanced are you?

What they are checking: Whether their technical skills are strong enough to build models and reports independently.

How do you decide which metrics matter most for monthly sales performance?

What they are checking: Whether they focus on leading indicators that predict results, not just reporting totals.
