Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Walk me through a product launch you led into a channel like Multifamily. How did you handle launch readiness and milestone tracking?

What they are checking: Whether they have run real launches with checklists and accountability, not just written plans others executed.

Tell me about a joint business plan you built with a partner. How did you track performance and run the QBRs?

What they are checking: Whether they can hold partners to commitments with data and turn quarterly reviews into real decisions.

How do you get Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Sales aligned on a launch when you do not manage any of them?

What they are checking: Whether they can lead through influence and clear ownership, which the role depends on daily.

Describe a time you recommended changing a partner strategy based on data. What happened?

What they are checking: Whether they use analysis to drive change and can show the result, not just report numbers.

What would you do

Product wants to launch next month, but Sales says the channel is not ready. How do you decide what to do?

What they are checking: Whether they weigh readiness risk with evidence and lead the cross-functional team to a decision rather than deferring.

A key distributor is behind plan halfway through the year. What steps do you take?

What they are checking: Whether they diagnose the cause with the partner and adjust the plan, instead of just pushing harder on volume.

How do you keep a pricing or promotion program from creating conflict between dealer tiers?

What they are checking: Whether they think ahead about channel conflict, which can damage partner trust faster than any missed target.

About the work

How would you segment Multifamily dealers, distributors and installers, and what would you do differently for each segment?

What they are checking: Whether they understand channel tiers and partner economics well enough to tailor programs instead of one-size-fits-all.

How would you build a simple model to decide whether a new partner promotion is worth running?

What they are checking: Whether they can estimate ROI, customer acquisition cost and margin impact with clear assumptions others can check.

What do you know about how property managers and multifamily owners buy access control and connected products?

What they are checking: Whether they understand the buyer and decision process in Multifamily, not just general consumer marketing.
