About your past

You will rotate through Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Learning and Development, Inclusion and HR Services. Which one are you most curious about, and why?

What they are checking: Whether they understand what each HR function actually does and have thought about where they might fit.

Tell me about a time you had to learn something new quickly and then use it right away.

What they are checking: Whether they can ramp up fast, since each rotation is short and they need to contribute before it ends.

Tell me about a time you helped make a group feel more included.

What they are checking: Whether their interest in inclusion shows up in real actions rather than general statements.

How do you stay organized when you are juggling meetings, shadowing and your own assignments?

What they are checking: Whether they can manage a busy rotating schedule without dropping tasks or missing follow-ups.

How have you built relationships with people who were more senior than you?

What they are checking: Whether they can network with leaders comfortably and respectfully, which this internship expects them to do.

What would you do

An employee mentions something personal to you while you are shadowing an HR partner. How do you handle that information?

You are asked to help schedule interviews for a hiring manager who keeps changing their availability. How do you keep candidates from having a bad experience?

What they are checking: Whether they protect the candidate experience while managing a demanding internal partner politely.

Your capstone project will be presented to company leadership. What kind of HR problem would you want to take on, and how would you measure whether your idea worked?

What they are checking: Whether they can pick a practical problem and think about results, not just generate ideas.

A colleague you are shadowing asks you to enter data into an HR system and you are not sure the information is right. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they ask before acting on employee records, where small errors can affect someone's pay or benefits.

About the work

How would you describe the employee experience, and what parts of it do you think HR can actually influence?

What they are checking: Whether they see HR as shaping how people work, not only as handling paperwork and rules.
