Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time you found an error in a process and fixed it so it would not happen again.

What they are checking: Whether they solve the root cause rather than just cleaning up the same mistake every week.

You are the go-to person behind the scenes. How do you share what you know so the store is not stuck when you are off?

What they are checking: Whether they train others and document their work rather than hoarding knowledge that makes them hard to replace.

Describe a time you had to work quickly without cutting corners on accuracy.

What they are checking: Whether they can balance speed and precision, which is the main tension in fulfillment and receiving work.

What would you do

A truck just arrived, there are online orders waiting to be picked, and the stockroom is a mess. What do you do first and why?

What they are checking: Whether they can prioritize competing back-of-house work by what affects the athlete soonest.

A teammate keeps leaving cartons in the aisles of the stockroom. How do you handle that?

What they are checking: Whether they address safety and organization issues directly and respectfully with peers.

An online order is due for pickup in twenty minutes and one item is damaged. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they protect the athlete's experience by finding a fix and communicating early instead of letting the order fail.

About the work

What steps do you take to keep inventory counts accurate when you are receiving and moving product all day?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that small scanning and location mistakes add up to empty shelves and missed online orders.

The system says we have three of an item, but you can't find any. How do you track it down?

What they are checking: Whether they have a methodical approach to inventory discrepancies instead of just marking it out of stock.

How would you organize a stockroom so that a new teammate could find a product in under a minute?

What they are checking: Whether they think about clear locations and labeling that make the whole team faster, not just themselves.

What safety habits do you follow when lifting, using ladders or working around freight?

What they are checking: Whether they take back-of-house safety seriously, since injuries in the stockroom are a real cost to the team.
