Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time a client asked for something the platform could not do well. How did you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they can set honest expectations and propose workable alternatives.

How have you contributed to a practice beyond your own projects, like knowledge sharing or reusable assets?

What they are checking: Whether they help raise the team's capability rather than working only on billable delivery.

What would you do

You are on site with the client and need to hand work to an offshore team overnight. How do you write requirements they can build from without you?

What they are checking: Whether they translate business needs into precise technical tasks that hold up across time zones.

An offshore developer is stuck on a complex integration issue the day before a deadline. How do you help?

What they are checking: Whether they are hands-on enough to troubleshoot and lead technically, not just assign work.

About the work

Walk me through a Salesforce Data Cloud implementation you led, from data acquisition to activation.

What they are checking: Whether they have truly owned the full Data Cloud lifecycle the posting describes.

How do you design a data model in Data Cloud to build a unified customer profile from Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and third-party sources?

What they are checking: Whether they understand data model objects, mapping and identity resolution in practice.

How do you approach identity resolution rules when the same customer shows up with different emails and phone numbers?

What they are checking: Whether they balance match accuracy and coverage and understand the risk of over-merging profiles.

How would you design segmentation that supports personalized journeys without creating hundreds of segments nobody maintains?

What they are checking: Whether they build scalable, governable segmentation strategies rather than one-off audiences.

How does Marketing Cloud Personalization fit with Data Cloud, and where is the Salesforce personalization landscape heading?

What they are checking: Whether they keep current on Salesforce's evolving products and can advise clients on direction.

How do you make sure data quality stays high once data is flowing into Data Cloud?

What they are checking: Whether they build validation and monitoring into pipelines instead of treating QA as a final step.
