Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a kaizen you led that is still holding a year later. Why did it stick?

What they are checking: Proof of lasting results and an understanding of the conditions that make change stick.

Tell me about a time a continuous improvement effort failed. What did you learn?

What they are checking: Honesty and learning, and whether they can see their own part in a failed change effort.

Tell me about coaching someone who later led improvement work on their own.

What they are checking: Whether they build capability in others, which is how a system spreads beyond one person.

What would you do

You would own and sustain the Veralto Enterprise System fundamentals across North America. What does sustain mean to you in practice?

What they are checking: Whether they know improvements fade without daily management, standard work and leader routines to hold them.

How do you teach problem solving to frontline leaders who think they don't have time for it?

What they are checking: Ability to coach busy people and show that structured problem solving saves time rather than costing it.

A plant manager is polite but isn't really adopting the system. How would you handle that?

What they are checking: Influence without authority, since this role reports to an enterprise system leader rather than running plants.

How do you pick which improvement projects to support across several sites with limited time?

What they are checking: Prioritizing by business impact on safety, quality, delivery and cost rather than by who asks loudest.

About the work

Walk me through how you would run a value stream map for a printer assembly line.

What they are checking: Hands-on lean skill, including measuring flow, wait time and inventory rather than drawing a pretty chart.

What's your view on daily management boards and tiered huddles? When do they work and when are they theater?

What they are checking: Whether they can tell useful visual management from rituals that waste people's time.

How do you measure whether operational excellence work is paying off financially?

What they are checking: Whether they can connect lean activity to real savings and results leaders care about.
