How do you see communication skills helping students in technical programs like nursing or welding here?

About the work

Walk me through how you'd structure a introductory public speaking course across a full semester.

What they are checking: Whether they can sequence skills sensibly so students build from small speeches to full presentations.

How do you grade speeches fairly and consistently across a full section?

What they are checking: Whether they use clear rubrics and specific feedback so grades feel fair and help students improve.

How would you teach interpersonal or small group communication differently from public speaking?

What they are checking: Whether they have range across the communication curriculum beyond one course they know well.

How have you used online or hybrid formats to teach speech, and what worked?

What they are checking: Whether they can deliver performance-based courses well outside a traditional classroom.

Give me a two-minute sample of how you'd open the first day of class.

What they are checking: Whether they can model the warm, clear speaking they will be teaching, right there in the interview.
