Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

What they are checking: Whether they evaluate tools with real criteria and pilots, not trends.

Tell me about a time you influenced a group you had no authority over.

How do you keep up with modern testing practices and bring them into a company?

A delivery team says automation takes too long and they would rather test manually. How do you respond?

What they are checking: Whether they can coach with evidence and find a starting point that shows value quickly.

How do you set enterprise testing standards without making them so rigid that teams ignore them?

What they are checking: Whether they balance governance with flexibility so standards actually get used.

About the work

What metrics would you use to show whether testing practices are improving release confidence?

What they are checking: Whether they pick meaningful measures like escaped defects, cycle time and change failure rate over vanity counts.

How do you fit quality practices into a SAFe structure with Agile Release Trains?

What they are checking: Whether they understand how quality connects to PI planning, system demos and shared standards.

What does shift-left testing mean to you, and how have you helped a team move that way?

What they are checking: Whether they can make early testing practical, through unit, contract and pipeline tests.

How would you reduce test cycle time on a large legacy application without losing quality?

What they are checking: Whether they use risk-based testing, test data management and targeted automation.
