Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a technical support team you built or rebuilt. Where did you start?

What they are checking: Whether they have actually built a service team from structure up, which this AMER role requires.

Describe how you have rolled out a support system or process across several locations.

What they are checking: Whether they can scale a change across sites with different habits, which the role names directly.

How do you coach a strong technician who is great with products but short with customers?

What they are checking: Whether they address behavior directly while keeping valuable technical talent engaged on the team.

Tell me about a time customer satisfaction dropped on your watch. What did you find, and what did you change?

What they are checking: Whether they dig to root cause and own results instead of blaming product quality or seasonality.

How do you hire for a technical support role? What do you look for that a resume won't show?

What they are checking: Whether they have a deliberate hiring approach that balances technical depth with patience and communication.

What would you do

A recurring connectivity issue is driving call volume up and engineering says it isn't a priority. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they can turn support data into a case that changes engineering priorities rather than just absorbing the volume.

Boating is seasonal. How would you staff and train for the spring surge without overstaffing in winter?

What they are checking: Whether they plan capacity around a predictable seasonal curve, a real issue in marine electronics support.

A dealer escalates directly to you, angry that their customer's system has failed twice. How do you handle the call?

What they are checking: Whether they can calm a key partner, take ownership and still route the fix through the right team.

About the work

Navico brands range from single displays to fully integrated, connected systems. How would you structure support across that range?

What they are checking: Whether they see that integrated and connected products need different skills and escalation paths than discrete components.

Which metrics would you put on your dashboard for a technical service team, and which ones can mislead you?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that speed metrics can hurt resolution quality and customer satisfaction if chased blindly.

How do you decide what goes into a knowledge base and how to keep it current?

What they are checking: Whether they treat knowledge management as a live system that lowers repeat calls, not a one-time project.
