Likely interview questions for this role
Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.
About your past
Walk me through a Kyriba implementation you led from start to go-live. Which modules were in scope and what was your part?
What they are checking: Whether they truly owned an end-to-end Kyriba delivery or only touched one slice of it.
How have you coached a junior consultant who was strong technically but struggled in front of the client?
What they are checking: The posting asks them to grow others, so they want concrete coaching habits, not a general belief in mentoring.
Tell me about a cloud implementation where the scope grew after design sign-off. How did you handle it?
What they are checking: Senior managers own margin and scope, so they want to see change control used calmly and with the client's buy-in.
What would you do
The treasurer wants to replicate every spreadsheet they use today inside Kyriba. How do you handle that conversation?
What they are checking: Whether they can push a client toward standard practice without losing the relationship or the client's trust.
Halfway through a project, a bank says it needs eight more weeks to test file formats. What do you do?
What they are checking: How they protect a go-live date when a dependency sits outside both their control and the client's.
How do you explain the business value of better liquidity visibility to a CFO who sees Kyriba as an IT project?
What they are checking: Whether they can tie treasury technology to outcomes executives care about, like idle cash and borrowing costs.
About the work
A client wants daily cash positioning across forty bank accounts in six countries. How would you set that up in Kyriba Cash Management?
What they are checking: Whether they understand bank statement intake, account structures and forecasting well enough to design a real cash position.
How do you approach bank connectivity in Kyriba when a client has a mix of SWIFT, host-to-host and API banks?
What they are checking: Connectivity is where Kyriba projects slip, so they want proof the candidate has managed bank onboarding timelines and formats.
Tell me about payments workflows you've designed. How did you handle approvals, fraud controls and segregation of duties?
What they are checking: Whether they treat payment security as a design requirement rather than an afterthought the client fixes later.
What does Deal Capture look like for a client managing intercompany loans, FX forwards and money market investments?
What they are checking: Depth in the Financial Transactions module, which is rarer than cash and payments knowledge and harder to fake.
Kyriba has to talk to the client's ERP for GL postings and payment files. How have you handled that integration?
What they are checking: Whether they can bridge treasury and accounting so cash data actually lands correctly in the books.
