Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

Behavioral

Walk me through a time you deployed a Lean Six Sigma or TPM framework across multiple sites globally. What did the rollout actually look like and where did it break down?

whether the candidate has real hands-on experience standing up a program at scale versus just being a participant in one

Tell me about a time a plant or regional leader pushed back hard on a standardized process you were trying to drive globally. How did you handle it?

stakeholder influence skill when the candidate has no direct authority over the people they need to move

Tell me about a program you ran that required real coordination with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Finance, and Procurement at the same time. What was the hardest part of keeping everyone aligned?

cross-functional program management experience at the scope this role demands

Describe a time you had to build capability in a site or regional team that was resistant to coaching or didn't see the value in continuous improvement work.

coaching and mentoring skill with teams that don't already buy in

Tell me about your plant leadership background. What was the toughest operational turnaround you personally led, and what did you learn about your own leadership from it?

whether the 20+ years of manufacturing leadership and plant P&L experience is substantive

Technical

How would you design a maturity assessment model for IL6S that works fairly across sites with very different starting points, like a plant in Eastern Europe versus a mature site in North America?

depth of practical knowledge of IL6S methodology and ability to build tools that hold up across diverse operating conditions

What's your experience with TPM pillars specifically, and can you give an example where autonomous maintenance or planned maintenance work directly moved a productivity or waste number?

whether TPM knowledge is theoretical or grounded in actual shop floor results

How have you used digital tools, analytics, or IoT to support continuous improvement work on the plant floor, and what was the actual adoption like once you left?

whether digital transformation experience translates into sustained use, not just a pilot that faded

You're asked to identify the two or three biggest program-level risks in an IL6S deployment across regions. What would you actually flag and how would you mitigate them?

strategic risk-sensing at a global program level, not just plant-level problem solving

What KPIs would you put in front of leadership to prove this program is actually working, and how would you defend them if someone challenged whether the numbers reflect real change on the floor?

understanding of performance management and whether they can connect metrics to genuine operational impact rather than vanity numbers

Situational

Say you find that a site has been reporting strong OEE numbers but your own diagnostic shows the data doesn't hold up. What do you do next?

how they handle data integrity issues and compliance monitoring without just escalating or ignoring it

If a global steering committee wants a faster rollout timeline than you believe is realistic given site readiness, how do you push back or find a middle ground?

ability to influence upward and manage program risk under executive pressure

How do you decide what to standardize globally versus what should stay flexible for local site conditions?

judgment on balancing global consistency against operational reality, a core tension in the role
