Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a tabletop exercise you designed. What did it reveal that people did not expect?

What they are checking: Whether their exercises test real weak points instead of walking through a script everyone already knows.

How have you worked with an Enterprise Risk Management team, and where do continuity risks fit in their view?

What they are checking: Whether they can link continuity work to the company's broader risk picture and reporting.

How do you get busy business leaders to take part in continuity planning when nothing has gone wrong?

What they are checking: Whether they can influence without authority and make the program feel worth people's time.

What would you do

A technology leader says their DR plan is fine, but the last test missed its recovery time. How do you handle that conversation?

What they are checking: Whether they can challenge senior leaders with evidence and still keep their cooperation.

A major storm hits Milwaukee and the office is closed. What should the crisis team be doing in the first two hours?

What they are checking: Whether they think clearly about people, communication and critical operations in a real event.

About the work

Walk me through how you run a business impact analysis for a department you do not know well.

What they are checking: Whether they know the BIA process well enough to find critical processes and realistic recovery times.

What is the difference between business continuity, crisis management and disaster recovery, and how should they connect?

What they are checking: Whether they see the three programs as one system rather than separate binders.

How do you keep continuity plans current when teams and systems change all the time?

What they are checking: Whether they build upkeep into the program so plans do not quietly go stale.

How do you translate a technical recovery plan into something an executive can make decisions from?

What they are checking: Whether they can turn technical detail into clear choices about risk and cost.

What would you measure to show the continuity program is getting better year over year?

What they are checking: Whether they think in terms of maturity and evidence rather than counting completed documents.
