Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Our brand talks about helping women feel like themselves. Tell me about a time you helped someone feel more confident.

What they are checking: Whether they connect clothing to confidence and self-expression rather than simply pushing whatever is on promotion that week.

Tell me about a time you had to learn a lot of product details quickly. How did you do it?

What they are checking: How fast they absorb new arrivals and promotions, since product knowledge drives every recommendation they make on the floor.

Describe a time you worked toward a goal someone else set for you. How did you keep track of it?

What they are checking: Whether they take individual goals and daily expectations seriously instead of treating sales numbers as someone else's problem.

Tell me about a time a teammate needed help with something that wasn't your job. What did you do?

What they are checking: Whether they share ideas and pitch in, because small store teams depend on people covering for each other.

What would you do

LOFT is about versatile pieces that work wherever the day goes. How would you show a customer a few ways to wear one sweater?

What they are checking: Whether they can sell versatility, which makes each piece more valuable to the customer and grows the sale naturally.

When the Streets of Woodfield gets busy on a weekend, how do you keep your service personal for every customer?

What they are checking: Whether their service stays warm and individual under heavy traffic instead of shrinking to quick hellos.

A customer wants a size we don't have in the store. How do you still help her leave happy?

What they are checking: Whether they reach for omnichannel tools, like ordering online for her, instead of letting the sale walk out the door.

A customer asks for your honest opinion on something that just isn't working on her. What do you say?

What they are checking: Whether they can be honest and kind at the same time, which builds the trust that brings customers back.

A customer is upset that a promotion she saw online doesn't apply to her item. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they stay calm, check current promotions, and bring in a store leader when the decision is above them.

A regular customer walks in. How do you make her visit feel different from a first-timer's?

What they are checking: Whether they remember people and their preferences, which is how personalized service turns into lasting brand loyalty.

About the work

How comfortable are you using a tablet or app on the floor to check stock, look up promotions or place an order?

What they are checking: Whether technology will slow them down or help them, since the role relies on tools to stay current on priorities.
