Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

This role covers both quality and EHS. How do you balance the two when you only have so many hours?

What they are checking: Whether they can prioritize by risk across two areas without letting either one slide.

How do you get people on the floor to report near misses and quality issues?

What they are checking: Whether they build trust so people speak up, which a zero-injury culture depends on.

Tell me about a safety or quality improvement you led that stuck.

What they are checking: Whether their changes lasted because they built them into how work is done.

How do you train operators on new safety or quality procedures so they actually follow them?

What they are checking: Whether they teach in a practical, hands-on way that changes behavior on the floor.

What would you do

You see a supervisor skipping a lockout step to keep production moving. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they stop unsafe work right away and address it with respect, even with someone senior.

About the work

Walk me through how you would investigate a workplace injury or near miss.

What they are checking: Whether they look for root causes in systems and conditions rather than just blaming the worker.

How do you run a quality root cause investigation on a defect found at the customer?

What they are checking: Whether they use structured tools like 8D or 5 Why to reach real, lasting fixes.

Which OSHA programs have you managed, such as lockout tagout, hazard communication or forklift safety?

What they are checking: Whether they know the core safety programs a manufacturing site must run well.

What environmental requirements have you handled, such as waste, air permits or spill plans?

What they are checking: Whether they cover the environmental side of EHS and not just safety.

How do you prepare for a customer quality audit or ISO audit?

What they are checking: Whether they keep systems audit-ready and know what auditors look for.

What metrics would you track for both quality and safety at a plant in Kenosha?

What they are checking: Whether they pick leading and lagging measures that guide action, not just report history.
