How do you decide whether to modify existing tooling or build new?

What they are checking: Judgment that balances cost, time and long-term reliability.

About the work

Tell me about part feeding systems or vibratory bowls you've built or modified.

What they are checking: Direct experience with bowl making and part feeders, which is the specialty this role centers on.

How do you get a feeder to orient a tricky part correctly and at the right rate?

What they are checking: Practical understanding of tooling and tuning that controls part orientation and flow.

Walk me through TIG welding thin stainless versus carbon steel. What changes in your setup?

What they are checking: Real TIG skill on both materials named in the posting, including heat control and distortion.

What measuring tools do you use, and how do you make sure your measurements are right?

What they are checking: Use of calipers, micrometers and indicators along with care about accuracy.
