Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

You would be opening a new ABA clinic and building equity in it. What draws you to that kind of ownership?

What they are checking: Whether they want the responsibility of running a business and not just a promotion.

Tell me about a time you supported a family through a difficult stage of treatment.

What they are checking: Whether they partner with families with compassion and clear communication.

What would you do

How would you build and train a team of behavior technicians from the ground up?

What they are checking: Whether they know how to hire, train and supervise RBTs to deliver quality, ethical ABA.

How would you build referrals from pediatricians, diagnosticians and schools in a new market?

What they are checking: Whether they have a concrete outreach plan for a clinic nobody knows yet.

Behavior technician turnover is common in ABA. How would you keep good RBTs on your team?

What they are checking: Whether they think about training, feedback, schedules and growth to reduce turnover.

How would you handle an insurance authorization that cuts a child's recommended hours?

What they are checking: Whether they can advocate with payers using data while keeping families informed.

How do you balance your own clinical work as a BCBA with leading the clinic?

What they are checking: Whether they have a realistic plan to keep clinical quality high while running operations.

About the work

Walk me through how you would design a treatment plan for a newly diagnosed child with autism.

What they are checking: Whether they center assessment and family priorities in an individualized plan.

How would you make sure your clinic meets BACB supervision and ethics requirements as it grows?

What they are checking: Whether they understand supervision ratios, documentation and ethical code obligations at scale.

What numbers would you track to know if your ABA clinic is healthy?

What they are checking: Whether they watch authorized hours used, cancellations, staff retention and outcomes together.
