Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time you were the senior escalation point for a production outage. What did you do in the first hour?

What they are checking: Whether they stay calm, triage well and communicate clearly while the business is affected.

Tell me about a functional resource you developed into a stronger architect or lead.

What they are checking: Whether they actually grow people and set clear ownership, not just assign tickets.

How do you explain a complex solution design to operations leaders who don't know Oracle?

What they are checking: Whether they can translate architecture into business terms so leaders can make decisions.

What would you do

How do you split your team's time between KTLO work, enhancements and transformation projects?

What they are checking: Whether they can protect stability while still moving bigger projects forward with limited people.

A Finance leader wants a heavy customization that goes against Oracle best practice. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they can push back on senior stakeholders with clear tradeoffs while still solving the business need.

About the work

Walk me through how you'd plan an Oracle 11i to R12 upgrade while keeping the lights on for Finance and Supply Chain.

What they are checking: Whether they can sequence a major upgrade without disrupting daily operations or month-end close.

How would you decide what moves to Fusion Cloud and what stays on EBS R12 for now?

What they are checking: Whether they can make a clear-eyed roadmap based on business value, risk and integration cost.

Explain how a sales order flows through O2C in EBS, from booking to cash application, and where it most often breaks.

What they are checking: Whether they know the end-to-end flow well enough to find failure points quickly.

Project Accounting numbers don't tie to the GL at month end. How would you trace the cause?

What they are checking: Whether they can do real root-cause analysis across modules and subledger accounting.

How do you design integrations and data flows so they hold up through future upgrades?

What they are checking: Whether they think about long-term maintainability rather than quick point-to-point fixes.

What's your approach to data migration and validation during a Fusion Cloud transformation?

What they are checking: Whether they know that bad migrated data can sink a go-live and plan validation accordingly.
