About your past

How do you lead a team of manufacturing engineers while also supporting current production?

What they are checking: Whether they can balance firefighting and future launches without letting either one fail.

Tell me about a time you reduced cost or labor hours on a product after launch.

What they are checking: Whether they keep improving processes rather than considering a launch finished at start of production.

How do you develop and coach engineers on your team?

What they are checking: Whether they build skills in their team instead of being the bottleneck on every decision.

What would you do

Engineering wants to launch on time, but your pilot builds show quality problems. How do you handle it?

A supplier part does not fit during the first build. What do you do?

About the work

How do you get manufacturing involved early enough in design so a product is easy to build?

What they are checking: Whether they find and control process risks before the first production units ship.

How do you measure whether a launch was successful?
