How do you personally apply lockout tagout when you're the one working on equipment, versus when a mechanic on your crew also needs access to the same machine?
What they are checking: depth of LOTO knowledge beyond the textbook answer, including multi-person lockout situations
Can you read me through how you'd approach an electrical schematic you've never seen before, for a piece of bakery equipment you're not familiar with?
What they are checking: ability to work from blueprints and schematics independently rather than relying on memorized machines
What's your experience with PLCs — are you comfortable making a logic change, or is your background mostly troubleshooting inputs and outputs?
What they are checking: honest self-assessment of PLC programming depth versus basic diagnostic skill, since programming is only preferred not required
How have you tracked or reported recurring equipment losses in a past role, and what did you do with that information?
What they are checking: familiarity with loss tracking and continuous improvement practices tied to Autonomous and Progressive Maintenance standards
What does arc flash safety actually look like in your daily work — not the training slide version, but what you actually do?
What they are checking: whether safety knowledge is genuinely internalized versus recited from a certification course
