How do you work with a payroll provider or outsourced vendor when their data does not match yours?

You support colleagues across several cultures and languages. Tell me about a time a misunderstanding came from that, and how you sorted it out.
What they are checking: Whether they adjust their communication for a multi-country team and notice when a message has not landed.
What would you do
How do you handle GDPR when a manager asks you to email them a spreadsheet of their team's personal details?

You get a contract change request from Germany, a new hire from Italy and a payroll deadline in the Netherlands on the same morning. How do you decide the order?
What they are checking: Whether they prioritize by hard deadlines and employee impact rather than by whoever asked loudest or first.
An employee writes to you upset that their salary change has not shown up. You check and the approval is stuck with their manager. How do you handle it?

About the work

What they are checking: Whether they understand that one wrong field in the HR system becomes a wrong paycheck in another country.
Employment rules differ between the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and other countries we support. How do you keep track of what applies where?
What they are checking: Whether they have a real method for local rules instead of assuming one country's practice fits everywhere.
What reports or audits have you run to check the quality of HR data, and what did you usually find?
What they are checking: Whether they check data proactively and know where errors usually hide, rather than waiting for complaints.
How do you document a process so someone else on the team could cover for you during holidays?
What they are checking: Whether they think about continuity, since a single-person process in HR operations becomes a risk the moment they are away.
