Department: 39109 Hospice Southeast Suburbs: Blue Team - Hospice Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday through Friday position 8-5 PM, On call and Weekend Rotation is required all surrounding areas communities of Christ Hospital Southeast side of Chicago, Illinois Pay Range: $28.55 - $42.85   We’re Looking For:   Licensure or Certifications   • At least Two (2) units of CPE, accredited by ACPE; NACC units may be considered. 5 units preferred. • In good standing with continued endorsement by the appropriate authority of his/her church, faith group or religious institute • A valid driver’s license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles. Degrees/Experience:   • Completed masters degree (MA, MDiv) in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field. • A strong background in functional theology and the ability to apply this in a pastoral manner to individuals and families. • Excellent communication skills with knowledge of counseling techniques. • Ability to identify clients’ needs with consideration to cultural, ethnic, religious, economic, and other diverse backgrounds • Experience and compassion in ministering to those who are dying and their grieving families. As a Chaplain you will: • Provide comprehensive holistic spiritual care to patients, families, and healthcare staff, including counseling, crisis response, and sacramental support. • Assist during emergencies, guides families through illness and end‑of‑life processes and promote patient safety. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in care planning, education, and ethical discussions, and supports staff through consultations and training. • Contributes to departmental operations, mentoring, and community outreach while upholding organizational values and maintaining active involvement in their faith community. • Participates in the QA/CQI process for Advocate Hospice. What You’ll Do:   • Schedule:  Full time, Monday through Friday position 8-5 PM, On call and Weekend Rotation is required, travel to all surrounding areas communities of Christ Hospital Southeast side of Chicago, Illinois • Must be able to travel to all areas within the Advocate Aurora service area in all extremes of weather on all types of roads. Must be able to travel to all areas within the Advocate Aurora service area in all extremes of weather on all types of roads. • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday. • Must be willing to work occasional overtime if needed.
