What's your experience with Salesforce and Power BI for forecasting? Walk me through how you'd use them to spot a gap versus plan before it becomes a quarter-end surprise.

practical tool fluency and whether they proactively manage forecast accuracy

Situational

Say a key strategic account tells you a competitor is underpricing us by 15 percent on a program renewal. Walk me through what you'd do in the next two weeks.

how they think under competitive pressure and whether they'd protect margin or panic-discount

How would you set up a weekly or monthly cadence to track funnel health across new business hunting and existing account management at the same time?

whether they have real operating rhythm and visual management habits, not just a CRM login

One of your direct reports is missing their funnel targets but keeps blaming market conditions. How do you handle that conversation?

coaching ability and whether they hold people accountable versus accepting excuses

Negotiating a long-term agreement, a customer pushes for pricing terms that would hurt our margin in year two or three. How do you approach that negotiation?

commercial discipline and ability to protect long-term profitability under pressure

You'll be traveling 50 to 70 percent of the time across eight global sites. How do you plan to structure your time so strategy work doesn't get crowded out by travel?
