Sales leaders think pricing slows them down. How do you build a partnership with them?

About the work

Walk me through how you'd build an enterprise pricing strategy for a company selling many products across regions and customers.

How do you weigh price, volume, and mix tradeoffs when sales wants a lower price to win a big semiconductor customer?

What they are checking: Whether they can quantify the margin impact and long-term pricing precedent of a single deal.

What pricing governance would you put in place so discounts don't quietly erode margin?

What they are checking: Whether they know approval tiers, discount tracking, and price waterfall analysis to control leakage.

How would you use cost and competitive insights together to set price on a new product?

What they are checking: Whether they understand value-based pricing and avoid simply adding a margin to cost.

What tools and analytics capabilities would you want to build in your first year?

What they are checking: Whether they have a practical plan for scalable pricing tools and know what data foundations come first.
