Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

MS&T here supports transfers for mAbs, fusion proteins, mRNA and emerging modalities. How would you build one team that can handle all of them?

What they are checking: Whether they can organize skills, training and hiring so the team covers several very different modalities.

Tell me about a technology transfer program you led that had serious problems. What did you change afterward?

What they are checking: Whether they learn from failures and improve the transfer process, not just recover the single project.

How do you build working relationships between MS&T, process development, manufacturing and quality?

What they are checking: Whether they can reduce friction between groups that often blame each other when transfers go wrong.

How do you develop the people on your team into future technical leaders?

What they are checking: Whether they invest in growing leaders, which a director at a fast-growing site must do.

What would you do

Several clients are transferring in at once and your team is stretched. How do you decide what gets priority?

What they are checking: Whether they make capacity tradeoffs openly with leadership instead of letting every program slip a little.

A client's process keeps failing at scale, and the client blames our site. How do you handle the conversation?

What they are checking: Whether they can analyze the data objectively and keep the relationship while defending the site fairly.

What would your first six months look like in this role?

What they are checking: Whether they would learn the site, team and client portfolio before making large changes.

About the work

How do you set up drug substance lifecycle management so processes are monitored and improved after transfer?

What they are checking: Whether they understand continued process verification and how MS&T owns a process after it reaches the floor.

How do you make sure your team's technical input on investigations and change controls is strong and on time?

What they are checking: Whether they set standards and review practices that make MS&T assessments credible to QA and clients.

What key differences would you expect when transferring an mRNA process compared with a monoclonal antibody process?

What they are checking: Whether they have real breadth across modalities and can see where different risks lie.
