Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Why a year-long development program rather than going straight into a specific role?

What they are checking: Whether they want broad learning and are comfortable not knowing their final placement right away.

Tell me about a project where you worked with people from different backgrounds or majors. What was your role?

What they are checking: Whether they can contribute on cross-functional projects, which is how much of the program runs.

Tell me about a time you used data to make a recommendation. What did the numbers show and what did you suggest?

What they are checking: Whether they can turn reports and data into a clear point of view that drives improvement.

What kind of role do you think you'd want after the program, and what would change your mind?

What they are checking: Whether they have some direction but stay open to where the program shows they fit best.

Tell me about a time you had to learn a lot of new information quickly. How did you do it?

What they are checking: Whether they can absorb Uline's products, systems and processes during an intense training year.

Tell me about a time you noticed a way to do something better at work or school and acted on it.

What they are checking: Whether they show the forward thinking the program looks for, not just following instructions.

What would you do

Part of the program is hands-on work in customer service and operations. How do you feel about starting there?

What they are checking: Whether they respect frontline work and see it as the way to learn the business, not beneath them.

You'll get time with executive leaders. What would you want to learn from them, and how would you prepare?

What they are checking: Whether they would use executive exposure thoughtfully rather than passively or to show off.

Relocation help is available. What's your thinking about moving to the Kenosha area?

What they are checking: Whether they've seriously considered the move so they don't leave the program early.

Explain something complicated you know well as if I knew nothing about it.

What they are checking: Whether their communication is clear and organized, a skill the program is built to strengthen.
