Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

Behavioral

Tell me about a time you had to learn the specific rules or quirks of a partner platform quickly in order to help a client succeed on it.

speed of ramp-up and whether they actually dig into platform-specific mechanics instead of treating all channels the same

Describe a time you looked at a messy spreadsheet of performance data and had to turn it into a story a client or stakeholder could actually act on.

the core analytical-to-narrative skill the job explicitly demands

Sales is trying to close a complex deal in the affiliate ecosystem and needs your input in real time. What kind of support have you given in that situation before, and how did you make sure you didn't slow the deal down?

comfort operating as embedded support for sales without owning the deal, and ability to move fast

Give me an example of a recommendation you made to a client that was backed by data and actually changed their ROI.

whether they can point to real, measurable impact rather than general advice given

This role sits between the CSO, the Head of Client Services, and the sales team, all wanting different things from you. Describe a time you had to manage competing priorities from multiple senior stakeholders.

political awareness and prioritization skill in a high-visibility, cross-functional seat

Technical

How would you go about identifying which client success stories are strong enough to become case studies or sales collateral?

judgment about what makes a compelling proof point versus just a good number

Tell me about a technical integration issue you had to troubleshoot with an implementation team. What was your role versus theirs?

technical fluency and whether they know where their responsibility ends and the implementation team's begins

What's your process for keeping tabs on multiple partner accounts' health at the same time so nothing quietly slips?

organizational system for daily monitoring across several accounts at once

Situational

Walk me through how you'd onboard a new affiliate client from the moment sales hands them off to you until they're live and running on a platform like Credit Karma or Bankrate.

whether the candidate can structure a repeatable onboarding process rather than winging it ad hoc

A client's volume on one of your affiliate channels drops 20 percent week over week with no obvious cause. What do you do first, and who do you loop in?

diagnostic instinct and knowing when to escalate versus investigate solo

You're asked to educate the broader FIS sales organization on Amount's affiliate value proposition. How would you put that session together?

ability to translate specialist knowledge into something a generalist sales team can use

How do you feel about joining a team where the process you're supposed to follow is still being written as you go?

genuine comfort with ambiguity versus a rehearsed answer, given the posting's emphasis on a fast-moving growth environment

How would you present a quarterly performance review to a client's senior stakeholders, including a program that isn't performing well?

presentation skill and honesty when the story isn't a clean success
