Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

You need at least two years of customer-facing experience for this role. Tell me about a customer interaction you are proud of.

What they are checking: Whether they have real customer instincts, because on the driveway they are the only Carvana person the buyer meets.

This job asks you to be available seven days a week, with days off that rotate between weekdays and weekends. How does that fit your life?

What they are checking: Whether they have honestly thought through the rotating schedule, which is the most common reason people leave delivery roles.

Tell me about your driving record and the biggest vehicle you have driven regularly.

What they are checking: Whether they can be trusted behind the wheel of a truck and hauler, since every delivery depends on safe driving.

Pay increases come every ninety days based on performance. What do you think will separate a strong advocate from an average one?

What they are checking: Whether they understand what is measured here, like customer experience and reliability, and want to be judged on it.

What would you do

You arrive for a delivery and the customer is upset because a scratch on the bumper was not in the photos. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they can stay calm, listen and follow the process for documenting problems without arguing or overpromising.

Traffic puts you forty-five minutes behind on the next delivery. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they communicate early with customers and the hub rather than going quiet and hoping to make up time.

You are backing a hauler down a narrow residential street and a neighbor's car is parked close. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they slow down, get out and look, and choose safety over speed when a tight driveway raises the risk.

Your shift ends at 9 pm, and the last delivery of the day is running late. How do you handle the end of a long shift?

What they are checking: Whether they stay professional and careful when tired, since late deliveries on long shifts are when mistakes happen.

About the work

How do you inspect and secure a car on a one-car hauler before you leave the hub?

What they are checking: Whether they take loading and tie-downs seriously, since a car that shifts in transit is a safety risk and a lost sale.

When you hand over a car, what do you walk the customer through before you leave?

What they are checking: Whether they understand the hand-off is part of the job, covering paperwork, features and next steps clearly.
