Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a product transfer you've led from a customer or another site into production. What made it succeed or struggle?

What they are checking: Whether they have real experience moving products between sites and learned lessons from it.

Tell me about a time you had to tell a customer a transfer date would slip.

What they are checking: Whether they deliver bad news early with a recovery plan rather than hiding problems until the last minute.

Tell me about a time you had to manage many tasks with tight deadlines and changing information.

What they are checking: Whether they stay organized and calm in the constantly shifting environment transitions create.

What would you do

Halfway through a transfer, you find the documentation from the old site is incomplete. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they escalate early, work with the customer to fill gaps and adjust the plan honestly.

How do you keep a transition on schedule when engineering, quality, supply chain and production all have other priorities?

What they are checking: Whether they lead without direct authority by setting clear ownership and following up consistently.

About the work

What's on your checklist before you agree a transferred product is ready for full production?

What they are checking: Whether they cover documentation, materials, tooling, test, training, validation and customer approval systematically.

A customer is moving a medical product to Plexus from another manufacturer. What special steps would that require?

What they are checking: Whether they understand regulated transfers need validation, change notifications and careful records of equivalence.

How do you handle the material side of a transfer, like last-time buys and inventory from the old site?

What they are checking: Whether they plan for supply continuity so production does not stop while the transfer happens.

How do you build enough inventory to protect the customer during the move?

What they are checking: Whether they think about bridge builds and buffer stock to avoid gaps in customer supply.

How do you measure whether a transition was successful a few months after it's done?

What they are checking: Whether they look at yield, delivery and customer satisfaction after the handoff, not just the launch date.
