Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

Behavioral

Walk me through a full SAP rollout you led for the Procure-to-Pay process at a new subsidiary, from blueprinting through go-live.

whether the candidate has actually run an end-to-end PTP implementation, not just supported one

Tell me about a time a subsidiary stakeholder pushed back hard on a process change you needed for the SAP rollout. What did you do?

ability to manage resistance and influence stakeholders who don't report to them

Describe a project where you had to manage multiple workstreams or subsidiary rollouts at the same time. How did you keep them from colliding?

real capacity to juggle concurrent projects, a core demand of this role

Give me an example of a continuous improvement idea you pushed through, either in your own workstream or across teams. What was the resistance and how did it land?

whether they can drive change beyond their immediate lane

How do you communicate project status, goals, and results in a way that keeps both executives and end users informed without losing anyone?

communication range across audiences, a named requirement in the posting

Technical

When you're blueprinting PTP requirements for a new subsidiary, how do you identify gaps between what the business needs and what standard SAP offers?

depth of hands-on experience with gap analysis and PTP configuration

What SAP PTP modules and transactions have you worked with directly, and where would you say you're at SME level versus just familiar?

honest self-assessment of technical depth across modules like MM, invoice verification, vendor master

How do you approach building the Super User network at a new subsidiary so they can actually support the system after you leave?

whether they think about sustainable knowledge transfer or just do the training and move on

Tell me about a report or dashboard you built using BI to summarize financial or business data for executives. What decision did it support?

actual BI reporting experience versus just listing it as a skill

How do you approach role mapping and security access for a new subsidiary going live on SAP, and how does that connect to segregation of duties?

understanding of SAP security setup and compliance risk, not just technical access grants

Situational

Say a new subsidiary's testing scripts keep failing during UAT close to the go-live date. How do you handle that with the PMO and the business?

judgment under time pressure and willingness to escalate versus quietly absorbing risk

If a Global Business Process Owner and a subsidiary stakeholder disagree on how a PTP process should work, how do you resolve that?

how they navigate competing priorities between global standards and local needs

Tell me about a time you had to escalate a project issue to the PMO or COE. How did you decide it was time to escalate rather than solve it yourself?

judgment on when to raise a flag versus handle things independently
