Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time you opened a new category of buyer for a product they had never bought before.

What they are checking: Whether they have actually sold something new to a skeptical market, not just renewed existing business.

Tell me about a deal you lost. What would you do differently?

What they are checking: Whether they reflect honestly on losses and learn from them instead of blaming price or timing.

What have you learned from selling in an early-stage business that you'd bring to how Universal Ads sells into these segments?

What they are checking: Whether they can shape the sales motion itself and share what they learn with leadership.

What would you do

You're handed the Search and Services segment with almost no pipeline. What do you do in your first ninety days?

What they are checking: Whether they can build a go-to-market plan from scratch and pick the highest-potential accounts first.

How would you pitch connected TV to a lead generation partner who lives entirely in search and social?

What they are checking: Whether they can speak a performance marketer's language and handle the measurement objection head on.

A client's first campaign underperforms and they want to walk away. How do you respond?

What they are checking: Whether they can diagnose what went wrong, own it, and rebuild trust for a second try.

About the work

How do SMBs and multi-location home services brands judge whether their media is working, and where does TV fit in that?

What they are checking: Whether they understand performance buyers think in leads and cost per acquisition, not reach and frequency.

Walk me through how you'd structure a test campaign so an SMB agency can see real results.

What they are checking: Whether they set up campaigns with clear success metrics so early wins turn into lasting revenue.

How should selling to an agency differ from selling directly to a multi-location brand?

What they are checking: Whether they recognize different buyer types have different incentives and tailor the approach to each.

How do you decide which accounts are worth your time when everything is new?

What they are checking: Whether they qualify leads with a clear method rather than chasing whoever answers the phone.
