Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a solution you delivered that changed how a business team worked.

What they are checking: Whether they can point to a business change their work caused, not just a system they delivered on time.

This is a senior consultant seat at Mettawa inside the United States commercial organization covering three therapeutic areas. What would you want to know about how your time is split across them?

What they are checking: Whether they ask how their time will be divided across three areas, which shows they understand the load before saying yes.

What would you do

You would work with business partners to understand their processes, drivers and strategy. How do you learn a function's real process rather than the documented one?

What they are checking: Whether they watch how work is actually done and ask follow-up questions, because the documented process rarely matches what people really do.

A market access team asks for a capability that the available data cannot actually support. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Saying no on a data reality rather than a preference.

How do you keep several therapeutic areas' priorities straight when they compete for the same work?

What they are checking: Whether they prioritize openly and fairly across therapeutic areas, so no business partner feels quietly deprioritized or left guessing.

About the work

This role executes market access data strategies across immunology, neuroscience and specialty. How do the data needs differ across those therapeutic areas?

What they are checking: Whether they see the areas as distinct rather than interchangeable.

Market access work depends on payer and health system data. What are the limits of that data, and how do you work around them?

What they are checking: Whether they know payer data is incomplete and delayed, and can still produce useful answers while being honest about the gaps.

How do you translate a market access business question into a data requirement?

What they are checking: Whether they can turn a vague business question into specific fields, sources and definitions, the core translation this consultant role provides.

How do you validate that a new data feed is giving you what it claims?

What they are checking: Whether they test a new feed against known numbers before anyone uses it, because bad market access data leads to bad pricing decisions.

What do you check before a market access analysis is used in a payer conversation?

What they are checking: Whether they double-check sources, definitions and math before a number reaches a payer, where one mistake can weaken a negotiation.
