Describe a project where you supported it from early development through operation. What did you learn?

What they are checking: Whether they have full lifecycle experience, which this role spans from siting to commercial operation.

What would you do

A contractor proposes a design change during construction to save money. How do you evaluate it?

What they are checking: Whether they weigh cost savings against performance, reliability and permit impacts before agreeing.

The development team wants a faster schedule than you think is realistic. How do you respond?

What they are checking: Whether they can push back with facts while helping the team find ways to save time.

About the work

Walk me through the key engineering decisions when siting a new simple cycle combustion turbine plant.

What they are checking: Whether they understand fuel, water, interconnection, emissions and layout factors that decide a site's viability.

How would you compare reciprocating engines and combustion turbines for a peaking project?

What they are checking: Whether they can weigh efficiency, start time, maintenance and cost for different thermal technologies.
