About the work

Walk me through how you would troubleshoot a variable displacement hydraulic pump that is not building pressure.

What they are checking: Whether they have real hydraulic diagnostic depth with pumps, relief valves and directional valves.

This equipment runs ultra-high pressure fluid systems up to 120,000 psi. How does that change the way you work?

What they are checking: Whether they respect the hazards of stored energy at extreme pressure and follow strict safe work practices.

What is your experience with RSLogix 5000 and ControlLogix? How would you use it to troubleshoot a machine fault?

How do you rebuild a centrifugal pump, and what do you check before putting it back in service?

What they are checking: Whether they know seals, bearings, impeller clearance and alignment well enough to do it right the first time.
