Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time you drove adoption of a digital tool that people were slow to use.

What they are checking: Whether they understand that adoption comes from solving users' real problems and supporting them.

Tell me about a time you said no to a senior stakeholder's feature request.

What they are checking: Whether they can protect the roadmap with clear reasoning while keeping stakeholder trust.

How do you work with data engineers and developers when you're not technical in their area?

What they are checking: Whether they collaborate respectfully and ask good questions rather than dictating solutions.

What would you do

VISTA shows material flows at the part-number level from suppliers through our facilities to dealers. How would you decide what to build next when every supply chain team wants something different?

What they are checking: Whether they prioritize by business value and decision impact rather than by who asks loudest.

The data feeding a key visualization turns out to be wrong for some part numbers. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they protect trust in the product by being transparent and fixing data quality at the source.

How do you balance new features against performance, quality and technical debt?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that product quality is part of their job, not only engineering's.

How would you show leaders the business value VISTA delivered last year?

What they are checking: Whether they can tie product work to cost, service or inventory results leaders care about.

About the work

How do you measure whether a product like VISTA is actually changing supply chain decisions?

What they are checking: Whether they track real outcomes and usage behavior, not just logins or feature counts.

How do you write a backlog item so developers understand both what to build and why?

What they are checking: Whether they write clear stories with acceptance criteria tied to user needs.

What supply chain concepts do you need to understand well to own a product like this?

What they are checking: Whether they know enough about inventory, capacity and logistics to talk credibly with planners.
