Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Walk me through how you have managed a service contract or commercial program from the first request to the final payment.

What they are checking: Whether they understand the full lifecycle, including the steps after signing where most delays and errors actually happen.

Tell me about a process you made faster or less error-prone. What did you measure before and after?

What they are checking: Whether their process improvement claims rest on real numbers rather than a general feeling that things got better.

Tell me about a time a stakeholder was frustrated with how long a process took. How did you respond?

What they are checking: Whether they can explain why a control exists while still showing respect for the person waiting on it.

Tell me about a time you made a mistake in a contract or payment process. How did you find it and fix it?

What they are checking: Whether they own errors openly and put a check in place so the same mistake does not repeat.

What would you do

This role works with Brand, Legal, OEC, Finance, Purchasing and Accounts Payable on a single request. How do you keep one request moving when it needs sign-off from that many groups?

What they are checking: Whether they can coordinate many approvers without losing track of who holds the next step.

A brand lead wants a vendor engaged by next week, but the contract has not cleared Legal or the Office of Ethics and Compliance. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they protect the compliance step under pressure instead of quietly helping someone skip it.

You notice the same type of request keeps getting sent back by Legal for the same missing information. What would you do about it?

What they are checking: Whether they fix the root cause upstream instead of just reworking each request as it bounces.

About the work

In a pharma commercial setting, why would a program with healthcare professionals get extra review from compliance?

What they are checking: Whether they grasp the fair market value and anti-kickback concerns that shape every oncology commercial program.

An invoice comes in that does not match the purchase order or the contract terms. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they catch mismatches before payment and know which parties need to resolve them.

How do you track dozens of open requests so nothing falls through the cracks?

What they are checking: Whether they have a real system for workflow tracking rather than relying on memory and inbox searches.
