Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a Salesforce project that went off track. What did you do to recover it?

What they are checking: Honest ownership of a troubled project and the concrete steps they took to fix it.

Tell me about a time you had to deliver bad news to a client.

What they are checking: Willingness to be straight with clients early, which builds trust in consulting work.

How have you used AI tools to make project management work faster, and where do you still do it by hand?

What they are checking: Curiosity about technology, which the posting stresses, balanced with practical judgment.

What would you do

The client keeps adding requirements after sprint planning. How do you manage scope without damaging the relationship?

What they are checking: Protecting budget and timeline in a consulting setting while keeping the client on side.

How do you report project status to a client executive who only has five minutes?

What they are checking: Clear, honest status reporting that highlights risks rather than hiding them behind green dashboards.

Your lead developer says a feature will take twice as long as estimated. What do you do next?

What they are checking: Handling estimate changes openly with the team and client instead of absorbing hidden overruns.

About the work

Walk me through how you would run a Salesforce implementation from discovery to go-live for a mid-sized client.

What they are checking: Whether they have actually led a full Salesforce delivery and know where projects usually stall.

How do you decide what goes in the first release versus a later phase?

What they are checking: Prioritization that delivers value early instead of trying to launch everything at once.

How much Salesforce platform knowledge do you think a project manager needs, and how much do you have?

What they are checking: Enough platform fluency to spot unrealistic estimates and talk credibly with architects and developers.

How do you plan data migration and user training so go-live does not fall apart?

What they are checking: Awareness that migration and adoption, not configuration, are where many CRM projects fail.
