About your past

Tell me about the production environment where you built your safety experience and the biggest hazards you managed there.

What they are checking: Whether they have hands-on safety experience in a plant like Neenah's, not just office compliance.

Tell me about a safety training you designed or delivered. How did you know it worked?

What they are checking: Whether they measure training by changed behavior rather than attendance.

What would you do

A supervisor pushes back on stopping a line to fix a guarding issue. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they can hold the safety line with production leaders through influence and facts.

How would you build trust with operators on a large site where you're the new safety person?

What they are checking: Whether they get on the floor and build relationships rather than policing from an office.

About the work

What are the main hazards in a tissue converting and manufacturing plant, and how would you control them?

Walk me through how you'd lead an incident investigation after a hand injury on a converting line.

What they are checking: Whether they find root causes in systems and conditions rather than blaming the injured worker.

How do you audit lockout/tagout practices so you find real gaps, not just paperwork problems?

What they are checking: Whether they verify actual field practices against OSHA lockout standards.

Which safety metrics would you track, and which leading indicators matter most to you?

What they are checking: Whether they look beyond injury rates to measures that predict future incidents.
