Tell me about a time you noticed something others missed during an inspection.

What they are checking: Whether they are thorough and trust their observations even when others move faster.

What would you do

You find a crack that might make a part unsafe to repair. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they escalate critical findings right away instead of deciding alone.

About the work

Walk me through how you'd clean and decontaminate a centrifuge part before inspecting it.

What they are checking: Whether they follow safe cleaning procedures that make inspection possible without damaging parts.

How do you perform a dye penetrant test, and what can it miss?

What they are checking: Whether they know the method and its limits so cracks are not overlooked.

What signs of damage do you look for on stainless steel parts that spin at high speed?

What they are checking: Whether they can recognize cracks, corrosion, erosion and wear that affect safety.

How do you take accurate dimensional measurements and record them?

What they are checking: Whether their measurements are reliable enough to set the repair scope.

How do you document your findings so engineering and customers can understand them?
