Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a model you built that changed a business or policy decision. What made people trust it?

What they are checking: Whether their work drives decisions and whether they know how to earn trust in results.

Describe a dashboard you built that people actually used every week. What made it stick?

What they are checking: Whether they design reporting around real decisions rather than producing charts no one opens.

How do you explain a complex model's results to executives who are not technical?

What they are checking: Whether they can communicate uncertainty and meaning clearly as a high-impact individual contributor.

What would you do

A state passes a new contract pharmacy law. How would you model its impact on AbbVie's 340B exposure?

What they are checking: Whether they can translate a policy change into assumptions, scenarios and a forecast leaders can act on.

Your analysis suggests a large health system may be out of compliance. Legal and government affairs both want the finding. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they present findings carefully, with clear confidence levels, in a sensitive regulatory setting.

A stakeholder wants your model to show a specific answer to support an argument. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they keep analytical integrity under pressure, which matters when results may reach regulators.

About the work

Explain how a duplicate discount happens between 340B and Medicaid, and how you would detect it in data.

What they are checking: Whether they truly understand 340B mechanics, which this role requires on day one.

How would you build an outlier detection model to flag covered entities or contract pharmacies with unusual 340B utilization?

What they are checking: Whether they can design a model that finds real anomalies and avoids accusing compliant entities.

What data sources would you combine to monitor 340B performance, and what are the main weaknesses of each?

What they are checking: Whether they know claims, chargeback and HRSA data well enough to understand their gaps.

How would you forecast 340B volume when the program keeps changing because of litigation and government actions?

What they are checking: Whether they handle structural uncertainty with scenarios rather than overconfident point forecasts.
