It’s the way you want to be treated. Position Summary: Responsible for the opening and closing of the department. Balances safe and cash registers and documents appropriately. Oversees the department staff and reports to appropriate manager. Oversees the department sanitation guidelines. Maintains food, cooler, freezes and dish machine temperature logs. Responsible for the delivery of food and services to patients and customers in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assists the processes phone and faxed orders • Checks patient tray line • Closes out registers and balances after lunch and dinner • Maintains safe balance • Monitors and documents food, cooler, freezer and dish machine temperatures • Assists in the training and development of staff • Covers staffing shortages • Fills stock orders • Completes tray line audits, sanitation audits • Issues disciplinary action for minor infractions • Assists in the developing employee performance evaluations Required Qualifications : Education and Training : • High school or equivalent • Food experience preferred and or previous lead or supervisory experience preferred • Good customer relations, able and willing to follow instructions, able to communicate and understand English • Knowledge of terminology used for special diets • Valid sanitation certificate Work Shift Details: Various, Various shifts Department: NUTRITION SERVICES Benefits for You At Silver Cross Hospital, we care about your health and well-being and that is why we work hard to provide quality and affordable benefit options for you and your eligible family members. The expected pay for this position is listed below: $16.66 - $19.99 The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
