About your past

This posting says plainly it is not a governance or people-management role and wants someone who stays close to the technology. What does staying hands-on look like for you at architect level?

What they are checking: A direct response to the posting's unusually explicit framing.

Tell me about a prototype you built that changed a design decision.

What they are checking: The builder mindset this posting explicitly requires.

Describe running an architecture workshop with a client's technical team who already had their own plan.

What they are checking: Leading a technical discussion with an audience that disagrees.

This is a Chicago client-facing individual contributor role with mentoring and proposal support attached. What do you want to know about how many engagements you would carry and how much is presales?

What they are checking: Checking the real load in a role that is individual contributor and everything else.

What would you do

What engineering and lifecycle standards would you put in place first on a delivery that has none?

What they are checking: The application lifecycle management standards this posting asks you to establish.

A go-live is approaching and performance testing shows a problem. Walk me through the next forty-eight hours.

What they are checking: Delivery ownership through go-live and hypercare, which this posting names.

How do you translate an architecture into something developers and functional consultants can actually act on?

What they are checking: The translation duty this posting names, which separates useful architects from diagram writers.

About the work

Walk me through designing an integration between Dynamics 365 and an outside system. Which of the Azure services would you reach for and why?

What they are checking: Integration architecture across the named Azure components.

How do you design security and environment architecture across Dataverse so it does not become unmanageable?

What they are checking: Security and environment design, which is where these implementations decay.

How do you support artificial intelligence and assistant features on this platform with appropriate security and governance?
