Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Walk me through an organic social strategy you owned. How did you decide which channels mattered and what to post?

What they are checking: Whether they can set strategy, not just produce posts, since they will own the global organic social approach.

Tell me about a time you brought structure to messy, complex work across several stakeholders.

What they are checking: The posting asks for someone who operates independently and brings order to complex work.

Describe content you created that underperformed. What did you learn and change?

What they are checking: Comfort with testing and optimizing rather than defending past work.

What would you do

Much of this marketing supports recruiting. How would you market a trading firm to engineers and quants who are skeptical of corporate content?

What they are checking: Understanding of a technical, hard-to-impress audience and what earns credibility with them.

A recruiter asks for a campaign to fill a hard role in three weeks. How do you shape the right approach with them?

What they are checking: Ability to turn a stakeholder request into a plan that fits the actual hiring need.

How would you get busy traders and engineers to take part in employee content without it feeling forced?

What they are checking: Skill at partnering with employees and leaders to build visibility in an authentic way.

How would you scale content across regions while keeping the global brand consistent?

What they are checking: Ability to coordinate with marketers in other regions without losing local relevance.

In a regulated financial firm, how do you handle approvals so social content still moves quickly?

What they are checking: Awareness of compliance realities in finance and how to work within them efficiently.

About the work

How do you measure whether social content is working beyond likes and follower counts?

What they are checking: Whether they connect content performance to business outcomes like applications or awareness in target audiences.

How have you used SEO in a marketing plan for a specific market or audience?

What they are checking: Practical SEO skill applied to targeted audiences, which the posting names explicitly.
