T his   Manufacturing   Co-op is a fully in-person opportunity based in Naperville,   IL , and   only local candidates will be considered for the role.   The program will begin in early 2027, based on a mutually agreed-upon start date, and will continue through December 2027. Here you can   lean in   and speak up and bring your own flavor!         As part of Manufacturing,   you’ll   use your skills, our   systems,   and a wide array of raw materials to help create the   delicious,   finished   products our consumers love. While taking ownership in your area of work,   you’ll   also ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues while producing our top-quality products reliably and efficiently within our integrated supply chain.   As a Manufacturing Co-Op,   you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with site engineering, operations, and production teams to improve the efficiency, reliability, and overall performance of manufacturing processes.   A significant portion   of the   program   will be spent on the production floor, building an understanding of how products are manufactured,   observing   day-to-day operations, attending production and control meetings, and   identifying   opportunities to improve how our lines and equipment operate.     Throughout the   co-op , you may support projects focused on process optimization, loss analysis, waste reduction, equipment performance, and production efficiency. This could include analyzing production data and line performance,   identifying   sources of downtime or material loss, investigating root causes, and partnering with site teams to develop and implement solutions.   Co-Ops   may also   have the opportunity to   lead or   participate   in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives, using methodologies and principles such as Lean Six Sigma, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).     Projects may also include updating process maps for specific areas of the plant, evaluating production or packaging processes,   optimizing   key pieces of equipment, and supporting improvements to standard operating   procedures.   Co-Ops   may work directly with operators and technical teams to understand current processes and help update process documentation, training materials, work instructions, or operating manuals to ensure improvements can be effectively implemented and sustained.     This   Co-Op   is designed to provide exposure to the full manufacturing environment ;   from understanding what happens directly on the production line to using data and continuous improvement tools to solve real operational challenges.   Co-Ops   will collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and other site teams while developing practical experience in process engineering, problem solving, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement.       Requirements and Preferred Qualifications     • Pursuing a   Bachelor’s   Degree   in: Mechanical   Engineering, Industrial Engineering,   or any   related   Engineering related degree.     • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a preferred expected graduation date between   December 2027 and May 2028.   • Must be   in close proximity to   Mondelez International’s Naperville, IL Plant ( 1555 Ogden Ave, Naperville, IL 60540)   • Must be available   to do full-time hours ( 40 hours   per week) over the Summer, and part-time hours during the   Spring and   Fall 202 7   school semester.    • Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with   Mondelēz International   (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status .     The ideal candidate displays some of the following characteristics:       • Strong leadership potential and student leadership experience.   • Excellent communication skills and resilience.   • Adaptable, with interpersonal savvy and engaged in diverse extracurricular activities.   • Demonstrating a growth mindset, agility, integrity, and a vision for the future.   • Strong cognitive abilities,   willingness to learn , and data pattern recognition.   • Driven, curious, and ready to make a positive impact.       Why choose Mondelez International?       Ever wondered how your favorite snacks get made?  Don’t  miss the chance to find out! Check out some of the  perks  of being   a MDLZ   Co-Op :         • Given value added projects that are presented to Leadership     • Intern programming, including events and activities throughout the summer     • Full-Time conversion opportunities upon graduation             Compensation         • The expected compensation weekly pay range   is $1,000 - $1,300, based on your expected graduation date.      • Compensation rates for Summer Interns   & Co-Ops   is  pre-determined and non-negotiable.        Business Unit Summary   The United States is the largest market in the Mondelēz International family with a significant employee and manufacturing footprint. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
