Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a sourcing event where you delivered significant savings. How did you get there?

What they are checking: Whether their savings came from a real method like leverage, specs or negotiation, and whether the savings held.

Tell me about a time a sourcing decision ran into a compliance or legal issue in another country.

What they are checking: Whether they understand local regulations and JLL standards and catch issues before they become contract problems.

What would you do

How do you use JLL's buying power across clients while still meeting one client's specific objectives?

What they are checking: Whether they can balance aggregated leverage against a single client's needs, which is central to sourcing at JLL.

An account team wants to keep an incumbent vendor that your analysis says is overpriced. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they can work with account teams who own the relationship, using data rather than overriding them.

How do you lead a regional team when your sourcing staff sit in different countries?

What they are checking: Whether they can set clear standards and support people across time zones and cultures.

A key supplier announces a large price increase mid-contract. How do you respond?

What they are checking: Whether they negotiate from facts, check contract terms and line up alternatives before escalating.

About the work

Walk me through how you would build a sourcing strategy for a facilities service category across several AMER countries.

What they are checking: Whether they can segment spend, map the supply market and design an approach that works across different country rules.

How do you evaluate and select vendors beyond price?

What they are checking: Whether they weigh quality, risk, capacity and compliance, since the cheapest vendor can cost the client more later.

How do you manage supplier performance once the contract is signed?

What they are checking: Whether they run KPIs and regular reviews so savings and service levels do not slip after award.

How do you report savings so finance and clients believe the number?

What they are checking: Whether they use a clear, agreed baseline, because inflated savings claims damage credibility fast.
