About your past

Tell me about a marketing mix model you managed or used. How did it change how money was spent?

What they are checking: Whether their MMM work actually shifted investment decisions, not just produced reports.

How do you work with a retail media agency to set measurement principles and hold them to it?

What they are checking: Whether they can manage agency partners and keep measurement honest.

What would you do

A retail media network reports a high ROAS, but your MMM shows weak returns from that channel. How do you reconcile them?

What they are checking: Whether they can explain why measurement methods disagree and which to trust for which decision.

How do you explain MMM results to a business unit leader who isn't technical?

What they are checking: Whether they can tell a clear story that leads to action instead of presenting model details.

A brand team wants to keep spending on a channel your analysis says is underperforming. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they can push back with data while respecting the brand's broader goals.

About the work

How do you measure true incrementality from retail media, as opposed to sales that would have happened anyway?

What they are checking: Whether they understand test-and-control designs and the limits of retailer-reported ROAS.

Retail media networks each report results their own way. How do you compare performance across them?

What they are checking: Whether they can build consistent KPIs and benchmarks across very different data sources.

How would you build an annual learning agenda tied to business KPIs?

What they are checking: Whether they can plan tests that answer the questions leaders actually need answered.

What data inputs matter most for a good MMM, and how do you keep them clean and current?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that model quality depends on data quality and can manage that.

How would you design a test to measure the impact of a retail media campaign at one key customer?

What they are checking: Whether they can design practical experiments with real retail constraints.
