Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

The posting asks you to act as a business proxy and make decisions to keep delivery moving. Tell me about a decision you made on a business partner's behalf. How did you know you had the standing to make it?

What they are checking: Judgment about when to decide and when to wait, which this role names directly.

Describe a time you told a business partner or a teammate they were drifting from what was agreed. How did that land?

What they are checking: The courage to speak up that the posting explicitly asks for.

Tell me about a disagreement between stakeholders you facilitated to a decision. What did you do when they would not converge?

What they are checking: Facilitation and knowing when to escalate.

This is in Milwaukee with at least three days a week in the office, supporting a diverse portfolio. What do you want to know about the size of the delivery teams and how many initiatives you would carry at once?

What they are checking: Checking the real load and the stated office arrangement.

What would you do

You have fifteen minutes with a senior leader and two hours of detail. What do you say?

What they are checking: Tailoring the message, which the posting calls out for executives specifically.

How do you decide how much process an initiative needs? Give me an example where you chose less.

What they are checking: Judgment about delivery approach rather than default ceremony.

About the work

This role supports fixed income trading and public finance. What do you already understand about how those businesses work, and how would you learn the rest?

What they are checking: Domain grounding in the two businesses this seat serves.

Walk me through how you plan discovery on a complex initiative when the objectives are still vague.

What they are checking: Discovery method in exactly the conditions the posting describes.

How do you write a requirement for a trading workflow so a developer and a revenue producer read it the same way?

What they are checking: Artifact quality across two very different audiences.

Walk me through how you validate that what was delivered actually met the business outcome, not just the written requirement.

What they are checking: Acceptance discipline, which is where requirements work is finally tested.
