What they are checking: Whether they can handle the memory load of drink builds and modifications without slowing down.

Tell me about a time a customer was unhappy and you turned the experience around.

What they are checking: Whether they can recover a guest experience with warmth instead of getting defensive.

What would you do

A guest says the drink you handed them tastes wrong. What do you say and do?

You're working the floor in grocery and Starbucks suddenly gets a line. What would you do?

About the work

What would you do to keep the Starbucks counter and equipment clean during a busy stretch?

What they are checking: Whether they clean as they go instead of letting the station fall apart during a rush.

In Food and Beverage, how would you decide which items to pull for freshness and which to keep on the shelf?

What they are checking: Whether they read dates, check quality, and follow the store's freshness standards consistently.

How would you handle a delivery of frozen and refrigerated product when you're also short on time?

What they are checking: Whether they prioritize cold product first, which protects food safety and reduces waste.
