Tell me about a time senior management wanted a strategy you disagreed with. How did you handle it?

What would you do

A rep closes a big lab conversion, but the implementation stalls and the customer is unhappy. How do you step in?

One of your top performers is hitting quota but undermining teammates and skipping the training program. What do you do?

How do you decide when a struggling rep needs coaching, a territory change, or a performance plan?

What they are checking: Whether they diagnose the real cause of underperformance fairly before reaching for a consequence.

About the work

How do you prioritize which product conversions your reps chase first when every lab customer has different timing and budget cycles?

What they are checking: Whether they understand lab purchasing and can point a field team at the conversions most likely to close and stick.

How do you track clinical projects and programs so sales management and the product teams always know where things stand?

What they are checking: Whether they run a disciplined operating rhythm that keeps several functions informed without burying reps in reporting.

How would you design field sales support training for reps who are strong sellers but new to laboratory products?

What they are checking: Whether they can build training that gets reps clinically credible with lab managers and pathologists quickly.

Walk me through how you build a 12-month plan and budget for a specialty sales function.

What they are checking: Whether they can plan strategically with real budget ownership, including headcount, travel and program spend.
